QbCheck is an FDA-cleared and CE-marked online assessment tool designed to support the early identification, evaluation, and treatment of ADHD. It provides an objective measurement of ADHD-like symptoms and closely mirrors the clinic-based QbTest in both process and accuracy.
What Is QbCheck?
QbCheck is a computer-based test that measures the core characteristics of ADHD:
Hyperactivity
Impulsivity
Inattention
During the 20-minute test, you will press the spacebar when certain symbols appear on the screen. Meanwhile, your movements are monitored using facial recognition technology via your computer's built-in webcam. No images or video recordings are captured or stored.
Importantly, the test does not rely on reading, language, or maths skills.
How Do I Take the Test?
You’ll need to complete the test at home using a computer or laptop with a built-in webcam (smartphones, tablets, iPads, Chromebooks, and Surfaces are not compatible). You must also use Google Chromeas your web browser and have a strong internet connection.
Creating a Suitable Test Environment
To ensure accuracy, you must replicate a “clinic-like” environment at home. This includes:
Environmental Criteria
✅ Take the test in a quiet, private room – no one else can be present.
✅ Remove all distractions – including clutter, mobile phones, and other devices.
✅ Ensure the room is well-lit.
✅ Sit at a desk or table with a suitable chair.
🚫 Do not wear reflective clothing or jewellery.
🚫 Avoid rooms where interruptions, background noise, or visual distractions are likely.
Patient Criteria
Before taking the test, ask yourself:
Can I remain focused without support?
Can I follow the setup instructions independently?
Am I confident I won’t be distracted during the test?
Would I be better suited to a clinical setting instead?
